“Freestyle Football is not growing yearly anymore, it is growing monthly” said Tom Folan back in 2011. Since then, the sport has skyrocketed, and it also has become faster: combinations are more difficult and performances are more complex. If we must select the very best athletes of 8 competitions during the whole week of Super Ball, then we need extraordinary people, with an amazing comprehension of Freestyle Footbal, to be able to do it in the fairest way.
For this reason, the 2022 panel includes a list of first-class judges:
🇭🇷 Miran Pirner
Miran is one of the few people that have essentially been there since the inception of Superball. With a vast wealth of experience in judging and competing, the Croatian leads as Head Judge on this year’s panel.
🇭🇺 Kitti Szász
Kitti from Hungary will once again be on the judging panel of a major competition. She’s a household name in Freestyle Football, and not just for being the first female head judge of a first-class tournament: she was also the first female world champion of the sport! In 2022, Kitti will bring all this awesome experience to the panel once again.
🇫🇷 Jordan Meunier
Best known for his acrobatic flips fused with a b-boy style, the French entertainer will now look to be entertained. Footstyle Crew’s very own will also be on the judging panel this year – and expecting to see the battle attitude between the players!
🇵🇱 Szymo Skalski
Arguably one of the most complete freestylers ever, former World Champion Szymo is a very welcome addition to the judging panel. The Polish legend will no doubt be looking for technical precision and fast flowing sets from all freestylers in their battles.
🇵🇱 Luki Chwieduk
Another of Poland’s many fine talents, Luki, best known for his fast flowing uppers and creativity, will be a tough judge to impress in a star-studded panel. Having reached the latter stages of Super Ball many times in the past, he knows exactly what it takes!
🇭🇺 Rocco Karászi
Another household name in Freestyle Football, especially for the lovers of lowers. Rocco is best known for his devastating and stylish combos and is another who has been around since freestyle competitions first became a thing. The Hungarian on the judging panel helps keep the theme of including pioneers of the sport to watch over the current crop of freestylers.
🇨🇱 Juan Astorga
The South American representation on the judging panel comes in the form of Juan Astorga, a veteran of Freestyle Football and no doubt a judge for the future – especially for the rising numbers of freestylers in South America! The Chilean will be on the judging panel for the qualification stages.
