Day three and four in Super Ball 2017
Thursday was the last day of competitions at the iconic Ask Slavia stadium and on Friday the champions of the 3v3 tournament were crowned
Thursday launched with the Intermediate Battles. The players for the intermediate battles were chosen by the judges from the players who got knocked out in the first round of the battles and were too good for the rookie series. The competition was judged by Miran, Lorenz and Jaime. In the end the first intermediate gold medal went to Belarus as Reno beated Sindre from Norway in the final. In the bronze battle young Jojje from Sweden was stronger than Kowalzyk from Poland
On thursday also the two last stages of Battles series were completed before the Saturdays big final. First stage was the additional battles for the seven remaining spots in top32. There were no big surprises. But in the next stage, round of top32, many really good players were knocked out. For example Jordan from Francewho is familiar from amazing routined managed to beat PWG from Norway/Philippines. The craziest battle of all was the battle between Norways Brynjar, who was fourth last year, and Luki from Poland. After the battle the audience gave them a long standing ovation. Luki managed to knock out Brynjar which was a big surprise for many. The player’s who’ll be seen in the top16 are Luca (Ita), Erlend (Nor), Tobias (Nor), Yo (Jap), Kazane (Jap), Tokura (Jap), Käldoff (Swe), Jordan (Fra), Ricardinho (Bra), Pedrinho (Bra), Guzik (Pol), Luki (Pol), Alekseev (Rus), McPro (Rus), Esteban (Mex) and Jesse (Ned).
When the top 16 for the Battles were found out it was time to see who four girls deserved their place in the big final. There twelwe girls in total aiming for spot on the big stage. PeGe, Fed and Jaime were judging the girls battles. Some of the players were competing for the first time and there were also the some of the big names of girls’ freestyle. In the end, Lucia (Slo), Liv (Eng), Cait (USA), and last years winner Kalina (Pol) made their way to the big final.
The last competitors for the big final came from the Double routines qualifieres. The level was again amazing even this was just the qualifier for the big final. The most of the duos were from Japan. The last years winners, the Fagerli brothers were really strong and made their way to the final again this year. The other for duos are Gautier & Mathieu (Fra), Yosshi & Yu-J (Jap), Kazane & Yo (Jap), and Lyu & Easy (Jap).
One of the most anticipated competitions was saved last – The Challenge. There was a lot of participants measuring their level of lowers. The competition got a winner on the round 14 when only Alekseev was able to do the two out three required combos making him the winner of this years Challenge. Kondzio from Poland from got the second place and ARS from Russia was third.
On Friday the Super Ball Street football tournament was held. Some of the teams were formed by freestylers who competed in the freestyle competitions and some were actual street football teams. In the top four the only team formed by freestylers was the Team Iran. They played really well through the competition and got the fourth place when they lost to Pannalicious in the bronze match. In the final Copenhagen Panna House was against Panna Match Berlin. The match went to the extra time as the seven minute match was in 2-2 situation. The winner was the team to do the golden goal or golden panna. The extra time was super intense and Panna Match Berlin was able to do the golden goal and they won the 1000 euros prize money.
